FAQ's
Q: Why specialize in Jura coffee machines.
A: There are many reasons! We believe Jura offers the best overall design, reliability, and performance. They also tend to hold their value very well because Jura can be rebuilt over and over again. Some other Superautomatic brands have proven that they have a relatively short lifespan. Lastly, there is a need for our service. Because the manufacturer doesn’t provide parts support directly to consumers, our service is there to keep these wonderful machines going!
Q: Why should I consider switching to a fully automatic coffee machine from Jura?
A: Jura coffee machines offer a simple-to-use, high performing, ecological solution to your morning cup of Joe. Jura machines grind, tamp, and brew far superior coffee than K cup or Nespresso and do so without the waste of expensive pods. Although maintenance is part of the reality of owning a Jura, the 5,000 cup major service is likely the most expensive service the machine needs to keep it going. Items such as pumps, heating elements and other systems of a machine only rarely fail, and are not as expensive as the time-intensive periodic 5,000 cup service.
Q: What does fully refurbished mean, and what is the difference between The Jura Guy and other shops when it comes to buying a machine?
A: We hear over and over from our customers "I had my machine refurbished last year but now it needs service again". To us, "fully refurbished" means that every maintenance item has been replaced. Many shops elect which parts they will rebuild based on condition or age. We don't take that chance with your machine. The water circuit of the machine is under a lot of pressure during brewing, and so if one of the o-rings in your machine has failed, it's necessary to replace all of them. Grinder burrs become noticeably dull (or won't churn out beans at all) at around 5000 cups. You can't simply clean out the grinder and expect good performance from dull burrs, the grinder burr must be replaced and the grinder retuned. Our goal is to not see you very often! Once we have fully refurbished your machine, we hope not to see you for at least a few years, depending on usage.
Q: Why should I buy a machine from The Jura Guy when there are so many machines available elsewhere?
A: Our refurbishment process is second-to-none. We start with hand selected machines which are excellent candidates for refurbishment. The machines we sell are
