We repair customer machines using the following process:
The process of refurbishment is needed approximately every 5,000 cups (residential), takes about 3-5 hours or more by our trained specialists, includes replacement of all maintenance items (brew group, all o-rings, and stainless steel grinder burr replacement), descaling, thorough cleaning, testing and tuning of the machine. During tuning, we adjust the new, stainless grinder burrs to maximize taste and extraction to provide the best tasting coffee your Jura is capable of producing. With superior stainless grinder burr replacement, your Jura can provide richly extracted, delicious coffee much longer than the factory steel profile. If your Jura is leaking, don't cause further damage to your machine. It is time to renew the life of your machine for another 5000 cups. With proper care and maintenance, a Jura can last up to 20-25 years.

Factory steel burrs are noticeably dull by 3500 cups, leading to weak taste and poor pressure during the brew cycle. Here at the The Jura Guy we spend extra time not only installing premium stainless grinder burrs, but going through painstaking process of tuning each set to the machine. Our trained technicians/baristas bench test each machine to maximize the taste, pressure, and extraction which leads to a superlative cup of coffee. We make approximately 15-20 cups of coffee during tuning in order to arrive at the single best setting for your machine.

Machines we no longer repair: When over 50% of certain model numbers can no longer be repaired, we deem that model number/production run "end-of-life". End of life occurs when it's no longer practicable for us to warranty our work due to the overall age of a machine. You can donate these machines to us, sell on eBay, or keep as a parts machine for your other Jura! If your model number is on the following list and your machine is having trouble, rather than repair, we recommend purchasing another fully refurbished coffee machine from us! Please note, the following models we generally do not recommend a repair, unless your machine has sentimental value***.

Shipping? It is your responsibility pack your machine to ensure your machine arrives safely in our shop. THE JURA GUY, LLC will not be responsible for inbound shipping damage. We will email you a prepaid shipping label when we receive payment of your invoice.
***If your machine requires work beyond the scope of refurbishment, those repairs are an additional expense. We strive to be as transparent as possible with our pricing and we always ask for your approval before proceeding with any work on your machine. Generally speaking, refurbishment will correct most common issues including error 8. Additional repairs might includes the pump, regulator, sensors, lids, etc. If your machine proves to be unrepairable due to age, condition, cost, or failure of too many systems; we will make a fair offer for your machine as parts or we can return it to you at your expense (a diagnostic fee will apply as well as return shipping and handling).
